On a scorching summer afternoon, the blissful aroma of spices lingered in the air while an array of pappads lay flat drying in the sun. A gaggle of gossiping aunts making delicious mango pickles & aam pappads, a cousin getting her hair oiled in one corner, another cousin lying on a khatiya simply dozing off in the golden dhoop that came into the beautiful Aangan of our ancestral home. A space that brought us together to sleep under the midnight stars and has witnessed numerous family dramas, the Aangan brings back memories of our childhood, stories of nostalgia & a certain unwavering romance with unforgettable visuals of a typical Indian Summer House.
